The Center for Renewable Carbon (CRC) at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville invites applications for a 12-month Post-Doctoral Researcher position (100% Research). Position is available for one year and may be renewed for additional months based on performance and available funding. The successful candidate will assist in a USDA NIFA funded project, with an emphasis on Molded Pulp Products. Research responsibilities will include experiment design, data analysis, report, publication and other related work.
Required qualifications: A Ph.D. in pulp and paper science, wood science, composite, polymer science or a closely related field completed before the position start date.
Additional desired qualifications: Expertise and experience in the molded pulp products, nanolignin processing and applications, cellulose nanofiber processing and applications, and chemical modification; a strong publication record; and good team work.
