Prof. Siqun Wang was invited to speak at the 8th Latin American Forestry Congress in Mendoza, Argentina this spring. On March 28, 2023, he delivered a keynote speech titled “Wood Science and Nanotechnology: What we know and what we don’t know” at the 8th Latin Latin American Forestry Congress and the 5th Argentine Forestry Congress. The talk gave an overview of CRC’s research effort on wood science and technology/nanotechnology. Dr. Wang’s presentation also brought awareness to global challenges related to water, energy and the environment. The talk was well-received by attendees.
