Lu Wang, Assistant Professor in the School of Natural Resources, is the Principal Investigator of the D.R.E.A.M. Lab, located at the Center for Renewable Carbon in the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. Dr. Wang received his academic training in sustainable materials and technologies (SMT). The D.R.E.A.M. Lab aims at global decarbonization through constantly adapting biopolymers for various applications (packaging, automotive, textile, construction and building, agriculture, etc.), innovative manufacturing, and materials recycling. The D.R.E.A.M. Lab conducts research in four broad topics centered around SMT: renewable materials, advanced manufacturing, emerging applications, and materials valorization.
